Pahang FM frequency in Kuala Rompin is 91.9MHz, the transmitter tower is located at TM Kuala Rompin where is not far from Petronas Kuala Rompin petrol station branch.
Transmitter power is 0.25kW, the coverage is actually for Kuala Rompin town, even generally the coverage map showed that it could reach until Endau, but actually Pahang FM 91.9MHz signal is getting very weak when tune in Tanjung Gemuk.
Tanjung Gemuk is the southernmost location in Pahang where located with Johor border. I checked Pahang FM 91.9MHz Kuala Rompin signal in Endau Village, Johor where is very near to Tanjung Gemuk, Pahang border, it is very weak there.
In Tanjung Gemuk, Pahang FM 91.9MHz Kuala Rompin transmitter is likely interfered by Johor FM 92.1MHz from Bukit Tinggi.
Suggestion to increase transmitter power of Pahang FM 91.9MHz Kuala Rompin transmitter from 0.25kW to 0.5kW or 1kW is not suitable because it would cause the interference to RTM Johor FM 92.1MHz Bukit Tinggi coverage in Endau, Johor which both radio stations are just having only 200kHz frequency separation. Unless 300kHz frequency separation between Bukit Tinggi and Kuala Rompin, then RTM can increase Kuala Rompin radio transmitter power to 0.5kW. Hence, I propose RTM Pahang FM to add a transmitter in Bukit Tinggi, Johor to cover the blind spot areas of Kuala Rompin frequency FM 91.9MHz.
With Pahang FM Bukit Tinggi transmitter, Tanjung Gemuk and Kuala Rompin's rural areas where are located next to Johor border can receive clearer signal of Pahang FM.
==Pahang FM Bukit Tinggi transmitter proposal==
* Frequency: FM 94.4MHz
* Power: 1kW
* Transmission site: Bukit Tinggi, Kahang, Johor
* Antenna model: Yagi antenna (example: SIRA FM-07)
* Antenna radius: 48km
* Targeting coverage: Tanjung Gemuk and Nenasi, Pahang
==RF analysis==
94.1MHz: Mix FM Bukit Pelindung
94.4MHz: Pahang FM Bukit Tinggi (Tanjung Gemuk)
<300kHz, OK>
94.2MHz: Mix FM Gunung Telapak Buruk
94.4MHz: Pahang FM Bukit Tinggi (Tanjung Gemuk)
<200kHz, OK>
94.2MHz: Mediacorp Warna 942
94.4MHz: Pahang FM Bukit Tinggi (Tanjung Gemuk)
<200kHz, OK>
94.4MHz: Pahang FM Bukit Tinggi (Tanjung Gemuk)
94.5MHz: Mix FM Gunung Ulu Kali
94.4MHz: Pahang FM Bukit Tinggi (Tanjung Gemuk)
94.6MHz: Lite FM Gunung Pulai
Directional antenna is proposed, rather than OMNI-directional because the transmission proposal only intends to Pahang, not the East Johor.
Other than Tanjung Gemuk, I may believe Pahang FM 94.4MHz Bukit Tinggi transmission can also back up Nenasi when Kuala Rompin frequency 91.9MHz signal becomes weak.
Bukit Tinggi is more strategic than Tioman Island because it can cover Tioman Island actually. With Pahang FM 94.4MHz Bukit Tinggi transmitter, I think the radio station can replace 96.8MHz Tioman Island repeater. So, Pahang FM can close down FM 96.8MHz Tioman Island gap filler transmitter and Tioman Island is to be covered by FM 94.4MHz from Bukit Tinggi.
