The rest areas in Malaysia can only receive foreign countries radio station on AM (MW) band. Example: CRI English/Khmer 684 kHz, Radio Thailand 891kHz/918kHz/837kHz/981kHz, Voice of America 1575kHz, Voice of Vietnam 1242kHz, CRI Cantonese/Vietnamese 603kHz, Radio Taiwan International/Radio Free Asia/Radio Chan Troi Moi / Radio France Internationale 1503kHz.
In Kedah (North-Central) and Perlis, the reception of Thailand TV/radio stations from Satun province are better than radio stations from Songkhla/Yala.
