Currently Negeri FM has 3 frequencies, mainly 92.6MHz in Seremban/Port Dickson/Kuala Lumpur/Selangor/Jelebu/Jempol (Gunung Telapa Burok), 107.7MHz in Tampin/Gemas/Gemencheh/Melaka/North Johor (from Gunung Ledang), and 95.7MHz in Tampin (from Bukit Tampin), meanwhile the another 3 frequencies were closed down, there are:
- 101.3MHz in Port Dickson (replaced by 92.6MHz from Gunung Telapa Burok)
- 107.9MHz from RTM Seremban (frequency was taken over by Klasik Nasional, then closed down in December 2009 and replaced by 92.6MHz)
- 96.3MHz in Gemencheh (replaced by 107.7MHz from Gunung Ledang)
In the past year, Negeri FM had 6 frequencies for Negeri Sembilan states because:
1. The main Seremban frequency (from Gunung Telapa Burok), 92.6MHz reception was weak and its transmission power was 0.1kW, only covered Jelebu and Seremban. The reception was improved and its transmission power was increased since November 2009. Therefore, Negeri FM 92.6MHz could cover 80% of Negeri Sembilan state, it also could be heard in Kuala Lumpur, Selangor and West Pahang, even the areas where 100km from Gunung Telapa Burok could be heard too.
2. Negeri FM had not established a frequency for southern parts of Negeri Sembilan like Tampin, Gemencheh, Gemas and Rembau, which transmitted from Gunung Ledang yet.
3. The reception of Negeri FM 92.6MHz was not clear in Port Dickson, 101.3MHz was established in 1990's. The Port Dickson frequency, 101.3MHz was closed down in late 2010 since P. Dickson can receive 92.6MHz well and 101.3MHz was interfered with THR Raaga 101.5MHz, which from Gunung Telapa Burok (Seremban).
RTM Orang Asli radio station, Asyik FM had expanded its coverage in Johor on 95.6MHz from Gunung Ledang in January 2011. I guess Negeri FM 95.7MHz from Bukit Tampin may not clear in Gemencheh and Gemas anymore.
In my opinion, Negeri FM 95.7MHz from Bukit Tampin may be considered as "extra frequency" because Tampin, Rembau and Johol can receive Negeri FM 107.7MHz from Gunung Ledang well. South Rembau like Kota receive 107.7MHz from Gunung Ledang is slightly clear, meanwhile 92.6MHz is still ok there. RTM should "beri laluan" (give away) to Asyik FM 95.6MHz to cover Melaka and Negeri Sembilan. Meanwhile, 95.7MHz was interfered by Fly FM 95.8MHz from Gunung Ulu Kali (Klang Valley) in Rembau, even 92.6MHz or 107.7MHz is clearer than 95.7MHz. I think RTM can increase Negeri FM Gunung Ledang 107.7MHz (for southern parts of Negeri Sembilan) transmission power to cover Rembau and Tampin, to replace 95.7MHz. So, Negeri FM 95.7MHz can be ended transmission. The Bukit Tampin transmitter 95.7MHz is not needed anymore.
Negeri FM 107.7MHz is more stable than 95.7MHz in Rembau and Tampin.
Negeri FM in south parts of Negeri Sembilan and Melaka (exclude 95.7MHz):
1. Kota- 107.7MHz
2. Pedas, Dangi, Linggi & Johol- 107.7MHz/92.6MHz
3. Tampin, Alor Gajah- 107.7MHz
4. Rembau- 107.7MHz
5. Pulau Sebang- 107.7MHz
6. Gemencheh, Ayer Kurning & Gemas- 107.7MHz
