Bukit Penara.

* Bukit Penara>>Sungai Siput (U): 109km

* Bukit Penara>>Rimba Panjang: 115km

* Bukit Penara>>Chemor: 120km

Sunday, 30 July 2023

I was listening to Radio Romania International English program on SW 17790kHz and 21550kHz in Ipoh, Perak, Malaysia (Chemor) during my friend's wedding ceremony.

Do you know? Radio Romania International is also available in Ipoh, Perak, Malaysia via shortwave radio frequencies.

In Malaysia, during summer broadcast of the radio station, Radio Romania International is available by following schedule below:

1. SW 17790kHz at 1100-1200H (UTC+8)

2. SW 17660kHz and 21550kHz at 1330H-1400H (UTC+8)

These frequencies are English program for India and Australia actually.

I was attending my Malay friend's wedding ceremony in Chemor, near Ipoh, Perak yesterday. While my friend went to change his wedding costume and prepare for official wedding ceremony, I was alone and taking the opportunity to perform shortwave listening (SWL) there.

At 1100 hours (UTC+8), I prepared to listen to Radio Romania International English program on SW 17790kHz. It was quite difficult to be tuned because the signal was gone too fast after tuning for 10 minutes from signing on time, the signal of Radio Romania International SW 17790kHz was moderate in Ipoh which has same condition as what I tuned in Balakong.

Meanwhile after the official wedding ceremony of my Malay friend, even completing my lunch there, I felt full and walked around there. Until 1328 hours (UTC+8), I was in standby mode to hear again Radio Romania International on SW 17760kHz and SW 21550kHz via my TECSUN PL-380 radio receiver.

Unlike Balakong, Radio Romania International reception is inverse in Ipoh, Perak, Malaysia because 17760kHz from Galbeni-Bacau has no signal there, meanwhile 21550kHz from Tiganesti signal is clear. In 2021 and 2022, I tuned to Radio Romania International at my home in Balakong, Selangor, Malaysia, SW 17760kHz is slightly clearer than 21550kHz.

I filmed Radio Romania International SW 21550kHz signal video in Ipoh, Perak, Malaysia (Chemor) by starting from the interval signal to the opening for 2 minutes and 30 seconds. During 150 seconds duration, Radio Romania International SW 21550kHz signal is quite consistent. I tuned it entirely for 15 minutes to listen to the news from Romania and the rest of the world on SW 21550kHz before having photograph with my Malay friend.

By comparing Radio Romania International signal reception on SW 21550kHz, Chemor is better than Balakong.

For international radio listeners' information, Chemor is a sub-town of Ipoh, meanwhile Balakong is a town in Selangor state where is just 20km from Kuala Lumpur in Malaysia.

==Radio Romania International reception report in Ipoh, Perak, Malaysia==

- Frequency: SW 17790kHz & SW 21550kHz

- Power: 300kW

- Transmitter site: Galbeni-Bacau (for 17790kHz) & Tiganesti (for SW 21550kHz), Romania

- Receiving location: Chemor, Ipoh, Perak state, Malaysia

- Distance: 8431km (for SW 17790kHz); 8458km (for SW 21550kHz)

- SINPO: 55423 (for SW 17790kHz); 55555 (for SW 21550kHz)

GoXUAN is partly available in Sungai Siput (U), Perak on Penang frequency FM 107.6MHz from Bukit Penara, meanwhile it has little signal in Chemor.

I attended my Malay friend's wedding ceremony in Chemor, Perak where near Ipoh yesterday, this Malay friend can speak Chinese Mandarin, we know each other since 2007 actually.

His wedding ceremony held in Chemor, Perak yesterday. I departed from home at 5am, then I reached Ipoh at 7.20am. Before going to his wedding ceremony, I went to Sungai Siput (U) for breakfast because I was hungry, then I performed mini series of FM DXing (radio signal monitoring on FM frequencies) there.

Last month in June 2023, I caught GoXUAN Penang frequency FM 107.6MHz from Bukit Penara in Kuala Kangsar and Pengkalan Hulu, Perak. GoXUAN 107.6 is very weak in Kuala Kangsar, meanwhile it is clear in Pengkalan Hulu.

This time, I tried to receive this radio station in Sungai Siput (U), Perak. It was very weak when I tuned in the town, the radio signal video was taken nearby KTM Sungai Siput (U) and the post office, the distance from Bukit Penara to Sungai Siput (U) is 109km.

However, while I was driving from Sungai Siput (U) to Chemor, GoXUAN FM 107.6MHz signal became clearer after leaving the town, it was available in Rimba Panjang, but signal went disappeared when I reached YTL cement factory where located at Kanthan.

Next in Chemor, GoXUAN 107.6 signal was very little when I tuned at my friend's wedding ceremony location.

Receiving distance of GoXUAN FM 107.6MHz from Bukit Penara in:

1. Sungai Siput (U): 109km

2. Rimba Panjang: 115km

3. Chemor: 120km

Overall, GoXUAN FM 107.6MHz is only partially available in Sungai Siput (U), Perak.

Tapah is a very subjective area in South Perak to tune a radio.

Tapah is a town in South Perak, and it is a capital district of Batang Padang. When you drive from Kuala Lumpur to Ipoh, you will definitely pass through this town.

However, Tapah is a very subjective area when tune to any radio stations because most of the radio stations have poor radio reception, compare to nearer locations such as Bidor and Temoh.

In Tapah, most of Ipoh's Gunung Kledang radio stations are having poor reception because the town is blocked by a hill named Hutan Simpan Sungai Salu where located between Tapah and Kampar, so the listeners have to switch to Gunung Ulu Kali transmitted radio stations (Selangor frequency)?

Yes, Tapah can receive radio stations from Gunung Ulu Kali with moderate signal quality. I tuned to Traxx FM in Tapah on 100.1MHz (Gunung Ulu Kali) when 90.1MHz (Gunung Kledang) is very weak there, but actually it is not fully correct because not all radio stations from Gunung Ulu Kali can be tuned in Tapah, Perak.

Fly FM 95.8MHz and Suria FM 105.3MHz are completely zero in Tapah. When I was in Tapah, I tuned to Fly FM on 87.9MHz from Gunung Kledang Ipoh, meanwhile Suria FM is on 96.0MHz which is also from Gunung Kledang Ipoh. Although Suria FM 96.0MHz and Fly FM 87.9MHz signal are weak in Tapah, but at least I feel it is better than nothing because I still can listen to these radio stations weakly there.

Inversely, although Ipoh transmitted radio stations are weak in Tapah, but some of Ipoh radio stations are still ok there. Lite FM is the example, its Ipoh frequency 101.5MHz reception is moderate in Tapah, and slightly better than Klang Valley frequency 105.7MHz.

Astro Chinese hot contemporary radio station MY FM in Tapah has to be tuned on FM 100.6MHz from Gunung Kledang because FM 101.8MHz from Gunung Ulu Kali has interference with Era FM 102.0MHz from Changkat Rembian. In Tapah, MY FM 100.6MHz signal is improved, compare to 2012.

Some radio stations have Tapah frequency to cover the town, such as Radio Klasik FM 88.7MHz, Perak FM 97.3MHz and Era FM 102.0MHz, they are transmitted from Changkat Rembian at low transmitter power (250W-500W).

==RTM radio stations in Tapah==

RTM Radio Klasik FM 88.7MHz was launched in Tapah during Radio 1 (Rangkaian Nasional) era as the gap filler transmitter to cover the blind spot of FM 88.3MHz (Gunung Kledang) and FM 98.3MHz (Gunung Ulu Kali). Perak FM 97.3MHz was launched in Tapah because its Ipoh frequency 95.6MHz signal is weak there, this radio station also serves Bidor and Chenderiang too. Unlike other radio station, as it serves only Perak state, RTM Perak FM has no Gunung Ulu Kali transmitter.

Rest of RTM radio stations such as Nasional FM, Asyik FM, Traxx FM, Ai FM and Minnal FM have no Tapah frequencies (Changkat Rembian), but they can be tuned there from Gunung Ulu Kali by frequencies below:

1. Nasional FM 95.3MHz

2. Traxx FM 100.1MHz

3. Ai FM 106.7MHz

4. Minnal FM 96.3MHz

5. Asyik FM 102.5MHz

Asyik FM 102.5MHz signal is moderate to weak in Tapah. As Tapah has many Orang Asli people, I strongly suggest RTM to launch Asyik FM in Changkat Rembian to cover Tapah.

Other than these 5 radio stations, there are another 2 state radio stations from Gunung Ulu Kali can be tuned in Tapah such as:

1. Pahang FM 107.5MHz

2. Selangor FM 100.9MHz

==Commercial radio stations in Tapah==

The Malay radio station Era is the only commercial radio station to have Tapah frequency on FM 102.0MHz, however it was launched in 2009 by taking over Raaga slot. FM 102.0MHz in Tapah was originally Time Highway Radio (THR FM) in 1995, then when THR FM joined Astro, THR in West Coast region carried Raaga programme.

988 and Red FM were used to have Tapah frequencies like Time Highway Radio actually, but both were closed down in Tapah. 988 was on FM 94.1MHz, meanwhile Red FM was on FM 101.2MHz. For current status, 988 could be tuned on FM 98.8MHz in Tapah from Gunung Ulu Kali, but listeners have to switch to 99.8MHz from Gunung Kledang when 98.8MHz is interfered by Minnal FM 98.9MHz from Gunung Kledang.

Red FM was rebranded as Zayan after it was purchased by Astro from Star Radio Group. In Tapah, Zayan is tuned on FM 104.9MHz from Gunung Ulu Kali.

Hence, Tapah is neither under radio coverage of Gunung Kledang nor Gunung Ulu Kali transmitter, the listeners have to tune vice-versa.

Note: All the radio reception videos were taken in Tapah town, Perak.

Indonesia FM radio stations received in Sitiawan, Perak, Malaysia (by Shift DXer)

Do you remember my videos of receiving Indonesia FM radio stations which I tuned in Sitiawan, Perak, Malaysia in 2022?

During Chinese New Year festival in 2020 and 2022, I received many Indonesia radio stations in Sitiawan, Perak, Malaysia under tropospheric propagation conditions such as Sergai FM 92.5MHz (Sei Rampah), Radio DSB FM 93.8MHz (Deli Serdang), Radio Suara Medan FM 94.7MHz, Radio Mutiara Kartika FM 100.3MHz and Radio Muslim Al-Fatih Medan FM 107.3MHz, all the videos were recorded at Tua Pek Kung Chinese temple.

Recently Shift DXer also publishes his videos of receiving Indonesia FM radio stations in Sitiawan, Perak, but his receiving location is located in Kampung Baharu area (near Segari).

I watched his videos on YouTube, he tuned:

1. Radio Republik Indonesia RRI Medan PRO-3 FM 88.8MHz

2. Radio Muslim Al-Fatih Medan FM 107.3MHz

3. Nastra FM 88.6MHz Langkat

The signal of both radio stations are also tropospheric propagation.

RRI Medan PRO-3 FM 88.8MHz signal is moderate in Sitiawan without hearing any interference noise from GoXUAN FM 88.9MHz (Gunung Ulu Kali), meanwhile Radio Muslim Al-Fatih Medan FM 107.3MHz signal is weak there.

South East Asia (ASEAN) listeners can continue tuning BBC World Service on alternative frequencies after its transmitter in Kranji, Singapore was closed down on 16th July 2023.

On 16th July 2023, BBC World Service closed down its Singapore shortwave transmission, its transmission site in Kranji is going to be dismantled.

BBC World Service Kranji transmission had been serving the listeners in South East Asia, East Asia and South Asia region for decades. Before Kranji, BBC World Service shortwave transmitter site for South East Asia was located in Terbau, Johor, Malaysia.

The closure of BBC World Service shortwave transmission has partially affected its listeners in ASEAN. Listeners may not hear BBC World Service clearly as what they were used to listen on Kranji frequencies, however they can tune alternatively from Al-Seela (Oman) or Tinang (Philippines) by following the frequencies and time schedules below which are effective from 16th July 2023.

1. SW 15310kHz from Al-Seela, Oman (1200-1300H UTC)

2. SW 17790kHz from Al-Seela, Oman (1200-1300H UTC)

3. SW 11825kHz from Tinang, Philippines (2300-0000 hours UTC)

4. SW 9410kHz from Tinang, Philippines (1000-1200 hours UTC)

5. SW 9440kHz from Tinang, Philippines (2200-2300 hours UTC)

6. SW 5955kHz from Al-Seela, Oman (2200-2300 hours UTC)

7. SW 9690kHz from Al-Seela, Oman (2200-2300 hours UTC)

Some videos were recorded on 18th July 2023 and 19th July 2023, receiving location is based in Balakong, Selangor state, Malaysia where it is just 20km from Kuala Lumpur, the capital city of Malaysia.

The radio reception of BBC World Service SW 9410kHz from Tinang (Philippines), SW 11825kHz, SW 15310kHz and SW 17790kHz from Al-Seela, Oman are moderate to clear in Malaysia, despite some of the frequencies are intended to cover South Asia, instead of South East Asia.

In Indonesia, BBC World Service is available on SW 9410kHz from Tinang, Philippines too. Video was filmed by Riski DXer.

Alongside Tinang and Al-Seela transmission, some ASEAN countries can receive BBC World Service from Woofferton (for Europe, South America, Russia, Middle East and North/Central Africa) and Ascension Island (Africa and South America) during late night transmission (ASEAN local time).

Here are my video of receiving BBC World Service shortwave signal from Ascension Island in Malaysia which I filmed in September 2022.

Al-Seela (Oman) and Tinang (Philippines) shortwave transmitters take over Kranji (Singapore) for BBC World Service in South East Asia region, effective from 16th July 2023.

Alongside shortwave, BBC World Service is available in part of Malaysia and Indonesia via FM 88.9MHz from Singapore (Bukit Batok) 24 hours a day.

BBC World Service FM 88.9MHz is available in part of Malaysia and Indonesia by following locations below:

1. Malaysia: Central & South Johor

2. Indonesia: Batam, Bintan and Karimun Island of Riau Islands Province

==Kuala Krau==

==Jengka==

Isyarat Negeri FM 107.7MHz (Gunung Ledang) lebih jelas daripada 92.6MHz (Gunung Telapak Buruk) di kawasan Jengka, rakaman video diambil di Pusat Bandar Jengka yang berhampiri dengan Mydin Mall Jengka.

Di Jengka, isyarat Negeri FM 92.6MHz (Gunung Telapak Buruk) diganggu oleh Pahang FM 92.7MHz dari Bukit Istana yang meliputi Bandar Jerantut.

Walaupun Negeri FM 107.7MHz (Gunung Ledang) mempunyai jarak 200kHz dengan Pahang FM 107.5MHz (Gunung Ulu Kali), tiada gangguan frekuensi oleh Pahang FM 107.5MHz dikesan apabila saya mendengar siaran Negeri FM 107.7MHz di Jengka.

Jarak penerimaan siaran Negeri FM di Pusat Bandar Jengka ialah:

- 92.6MHz Gunung Telapak Buruk: 116km

- 107.7MHz Gunung Ledang: 156km

Thailand and Myanmar FM radio stations received in Jengka, Jerantut and Damak, Pahang, Malaysia.

In July 2023, I launch new location of FM DXing (radio signal monitoring) activity in Kuala Krau, Jengka and Damak, Pahang where I come today on 16th July 2023.

In fact, I only target to monitor local radio stations from distant transmitter sites such as Fraser's Hill, Gunung Ulu Kali, Gunung Telapak Buruk and Gunung Ledang in these locations, but surprisingly I receive Sproadic E signal radio stations from Thailand and Myanmar in Damak, Jengka and Jerantut where travels more than 1000km from transmitter sites.

==Jengka==

In Jengka, I receive Thailand Parliament Radio Station FM 87.5MHz from Bangkok with 1138km receiving distance from the transmitter site.

==Jerantut (Kampung Pulau Tawar)==

When I drive from Jengka to Damak for the next location of FM DXing, my car radio receiver stops at FM 92.5MHz randomly and I hear a song where I don't understand of its language, then I use Shazam app to identify the song title, it is Lil Chan - A Thel Lay which is a Burmese song, then this radio station plays Korean pop song after. I look the background of Myanmar radio stations on FM 92.5MHz, it is Padamyar FM 92.5MHz from Mawlamyine, Myanmar with 1490km receiving distance where I receive at Kampung Pulau Tawar, located between Jengka and Jerantut town. By reading the radio station's background, Padamyar FM plays international hits, alongside with Burmese pop songs.

==Damak==

In Damak, I also catch two Thailand radio stations on FM 94.25MHz and FM 95.0MHz, meanwhile Myanmar radio stations on FM 87.6MHz and FM 88.6MHz where are transmitted from Yangon.

For Thailand radio stations received in Damak on FM 94.25MHz and FM 95.0MHz, I identify both are Radio Thailand Yala, but FM 95.0MHz is not likely from Yala, it could be Radio Thailand Lamphun because FM 95.0MHz Yala broadcasts in Malay language after Thai news relayed from Bangkok. Then, FM 94.25MHz is likely a confused radio signal of Thailand radio station where is co-channel interference signal.

FM 87.6MHz is Myanmar Radio, meanwhile FM 88.6MHz is Thazin FM, both are transmitted from Yangon, Myanmar, but I receive them in Damak, Pahang before driving to Bentong for lunch via Benta road.

RTM radio stations list in Damak, Pahang

Damak is a rural area in Jerantut district, it is located between Benta and Jerantut town.

Compare with Jerantut town and Kuala Tahan, Damak is the most difficult location in Jerantut district to receive radio stations signal.

In Damak, there are only two RTM radio stations, namely Asyik FM 99.9MHz and Pahang FM 107.2MHz which transmitted from Bukit Botak, meanwhile rest of RTM radio stations have no local gap filler transmitter for Damak, Pahang, however these radio stations have to be received from distant transmitter sites such as Fraser's Hill and Bukit Istana with very weak signal.

Here are two RTM radio stations local frequencies for Damak, Pahang.

1. Pahang FM 107.2MHz

2. Asyik FM 99.9MHz

Meanwhile other RTM radio stations in Damak, Pahang have to be tuned weakly.

- Radio Klasik FM 90.9MHz from Bukit Fraser (55km)

Formerly Radio Klasik has Damak frequency on FM 89.4MHz from Bukit Botak, but the transmission is already terminated.

- Nasional FM 106.2MHz from Bukit Fraser (55km)

FM 93.5MHz from Bukit Istana, FM 96.6MHz from Gunung Ledang, FM 93.1MHz from Cameron Highlands and FM 91.7MHz from Gunung Telapak Buruk have no signal in Damak, Pahang.

- Traxx FM 100.1MHz from Gunung Ulu Kali (75km)

Only little signal is heard in Damak area nearby Batu Balai when I drive to Benta. Potentially having interference with Asyik FM 99.9MHz from Bukit Botak when tune in Damak, Pahang.

FM 89.9MHz from Bukit Istana, FM 97.4MHz from Gunung Ledang, FM 101.1MHz from Cameron Highlands and FM 88.7MHz from Gunung Telapak Buruk have no signal in Damak, Pahang.

- Ai FM 97.1MHz from Bukit Fraser (55km)

Signal is moderate to weak when tune to Ai FM 97.1MHz from Fraser's Hill in Damak, Pahang.

Meanwhile rest frequencies such as FM 90.7MHz Bukit Istana, FM 100.4MHz Gunung Ledang, FM 106.7MHz Gunung Ulu Kali and FM 89.7MHz Gunung Telapak Buruk have zero signal in Damak.

- Minnal FM 91.9MHz from Bukit Istana (16km)

==Tempat pemancar untuk Radio KADA==

1. Terdapat beberapa buah tempat pemancar untuk kawasan Kota Bharu, iaitu KBX Tunjung (CELCOM), Telipot (Telekom Malaysia), Wakaf Che Yeh (RTM) dan Peringat (Media Prima), saya mencalonkan KBX Tunjung dan Wakaf Che Yeh sebagai kajian untuk cadangan tempat pemancar siaran Radio KADA.

2. Celcom KBX Tunjung mempunyai pemancar Manis FM 90.6MHz, tetapi kurang stesen radio menggunakan infrastruktur menara pemancar CELCOM.

==Cadangan frekuensi untuk Radio KADA==

Why doesn't RTM Nasional FM have Kuala Rompin frequency like Traxx FM, Radio Klasik, Ai FM and Pahang FM?

In Kuala Rompin, RTM has a repeater for 4 of its radio stations such as Radio Klasik FM 93.7MHz, Pahang FM 91.9MHz, Traxx FM 90.7MHz, and Ai FM 89.9MHz, however the most important flagship RTM radio station, Nasional FM does not have Kuala Rompin local frequency.

Minnal FM has no Kuala Rompin local frequency because Kuala Rompin has extremely less Indians, but it can be tuned via FM 88.3MHz from Bukit Tinggi.

History is the main reason of RTM Nasional FM is unavailable of its Kuala Rompin frequency. In addition, RTM broadcast engineer told me the history too in the email after I sent my radio reception report of Nasional FM in Kuala Rompin with some frequency proposals.

I'm not sure when did RTM launch Kuala Rompin transmitter for its radio stations, but it might be in the 1990s.

In 1990s, RTM only launched Radio 1 (National Network), Radio 3 Pahang, Radio 4 (Traxx FM - English Network) and Radio 5 (Ai FM- Chinese Network) in Kuala Rompin, meanwhile Radio 2 aka Muzik FM (Radio Muzik) was not launched there.

Radio 1 was rebranded as Nasional FM in 2005, then Nasional FM and Klasik FM were merged into 1 station on RTM Radio 1 frequency to become Klasik Nasional in 2007. Until 2012, Klasik Nasional was dissolved, then RTM Radio 1 frequencies became Radio Klasik, meanwhile Nasional FM took over Muzik FM frequency slots.

Radio 1>>Nasional FM (2005-2007)>>Klasik Nasional (2007-2012)>>Radio Klasik (2012-present)

Radio 2>>Muzik FM>>Nasional FM (2012)

No matter how, Nasional FM is still available in Kuala Rompin through distant frequencies by tuning on FM 90.9MHz from Bukit Tinggi and FM 96.6MHz from Gunung Ledang, despite it has no local frequency like Radio Klasik and Pahang FM.

Why does Era have Tapah frequency on FM 102.0MHz, meanwhile sister radio stations have no of it?

Many people are asking me that why Astro Malay language radio station Era has Tapah tuning frequency FM 102.0MHz.

In Tapah, there are only 3 radio stations having local frequencies which transmitted from Changkat Rembian, 2 of them are from RTM such as Perak FM 97.3MHz and Radio Klasik FM 88.7MHz, meanwhile 1 of them is Era FM.

Era is the only commercial radio station operating in Tapah on FM 102.0MHz, but let's talk about the history.

FM 102.0MHz in Tapah, Perak was actually belonged to Time Highway Radio (THR FM) before Era. In 1994, Malaysia's 2nd commercial radio station Time Highway Radio was launched, the radio station broadcasted in English (80%) and Malay (20%), THR FM expanded outside Klang Valley in 1995.

THR FM launched its frequencies in northern region with the frequencies below:

101.9MHz Langkawi

102.4MHz Alor Setar and Seberang Perai

99.3MHz Penang

102.1MHz Taiping

97.9MHz Ipoh

102.0MHz Tapah

Time Highway Radio launched Tapah frequency FM 102.0MHz was to cover the blind spot coverage of FM 97.9MHz (Ipoh frequency) and FM 99.3MHz (Gunung Ulu Kali).

In 2001, Time Highway Radio ceased English broadcast due to stiff competition with Astro Radio Hitz, Mix, Lite and other English radio stations such as Red 104.9, Wow FM 97.6 and RTM Radio 4 (Traxx FM), and introduced Tamil slot, known as Raaga.

Time Highway Radio was acquired by Astro Radio (AMP Networks) in 2005. In west coast, the frequencies were broadcasted as THR Raaga in Tamil, meanwhile THR Gegar in Malay is in east coast.

FM 102.0MHz in Tapah was still in operation after THR joined Astro. Astro Radio never applied any frequency license to MCMC for Tapah area.

From 2005 to 2008, FM 102.0MHz was THR Raaga in Tapah, Perak, however in 2009, Astro Radio decided to ceased THR Raaga in Tapah and the frequency FM 102.0MHz was switched to Era because Tapah has more Malays than Indians.

I remembered the moment I tuning the radio randomly. Back to 2007, when I was 13 years old, I pressed AST (Auto Store) button on the car radio in Bidor, Perak along PLUS Highway, FM 102.0MHz was detected, it was Tamil radio broadcast, so I knew it was THR Raaga, but I had no idea where's the intend coverage of FM 102.0MHz actually.

In June 2009 when I was 15, I tuned to FM 102.0MHz again in Bidor, it was totally different, from Tamil to Malay broadcast. I thought it was Perak FM, but FM 102.0MHz had more commercials, meanwhile Perak FM did not have much commercials. Until January 2010, I read newspaper and saw Era FM advertisement with the frequencies list, then I saw FM 102.0MHz (Tapah). Hence, from there, I only realized Era FM had Tapah frequency which taking over from Time Highway Radio THR Raaga.

The radio program switch of Tapah frequency FM 102.0MHz from THR Raaga to Era did not affect THR Raaga's listeners in Tapah because the listeners can continue listen via FM 99.3MHz from Gunung Ulu Kali.

Commercially, Era took over THR Raaga Tapah frequency FM 102.0MHz would help Astro Radio to gain more profits because Era is the most popular radio brand of Astro Radio.

Listeners who tune to Era will definitely receive clearer signal in Tapah on FM 102.0MHz, compare to weaker FM 103.3MHz and FM 103.7MHz.

Meanwhile sister radio station Sinar FM has no Tapah frequency as Astro never intends to launch the frequencies for all of its radio brands in Tapah, instead Astro just simply switched THR Raaga to Era in Tapah on FM 102.0MHz.
