List of RTM state and district radio stations where are available internationally via FM frequency transmission.

International region where are located nearby Malaysia borders usually can receive Malaysia radio stations via bordering transmitter.

 

About RTM, there are several state and district radio stations where are also available internationally through overspill signal because they are located not so far from neighboring countries border. In addition, for non-international border region, some of RTM state radio stations can be heard even further. Here are the listed RTM state and district radio stations where are available in neighboring countries of Malaysia.

 

1. Johor FM


As Johor is located next to Singapore, RTM Johor FM is also available in Singapore, even Indonesia (Batam, Karimun and Bintan) via 101.9MHz from Gunung Pulai.

 

2. Kedah FM

Kedah FM is actually available internationally in Thailand by following locations below with the frequencies.

- Satun via FM 105.7MHz from Gunung Raya

- Sadao and Dannok via FM 97.5MHz from Gunung Jerai

- Betong via FM 90.5MHz from Bukit Palong


3. Langkawi FM


As Langkawi is located adjacently to Thailand border and Mainland Kedah, RTM Langkawi FM 104.8MHz from Gunung Raya can be received in Satun, Thailand. 

 

4. Kelantan FM

Available in Narathiwat Province, Thailand such as Waeng, Sungai Golok, Sungai Padi, Tak Bai and part of Mueang Narathiwat districts via 97.3MHz (Bukit Bakar) and 102.9MHz (Wakaf Che Yeh).


5. Perlis FM


FM 102.9MHz from Padang Pauh covers all areas in Perlis state, but RTM Perlis FM is available in small part of Thailand such as Sadao, Padang Besar and Satun (nearby Wang Kelian).


6. Sarawak FM



Available internationally in Brunei and part of West Kalimantan Province, Indonesia.


a. Brunei

- Bandar Seri Begawan via FM 101.5MHz from Bukit Mas (Limbang)

- Kuala Belait and Seria via FM 88.1MHz from Bukit Lambir (Miri)


b. West Kalimantan, Indonesia 

- Sambas via FM 88.9MHz from Gunung Serapi (Kuching)

- Entikong and Balai Karangan via FM 94.8MHz from Bukit Ampangan (Serian) 


Alongside FM frequency transmission, Sarawak FM is available in part of worldwide via shortwave transmission SW 9835kHz.


7. Sabah FM

 


Available in part of Brunei via FM 97.9MHz from Bukit Tampalagus (Sipitang, Sabah). 


Alongside Brunei, Sabah FM is also available in Nunukan Island, Sebatik Island and part of Tarakan, North Kalimantan, Indonesia via Tawau frequency 95.7MHz from Gunung Andrassy.

 

8. Selangor FM


Transmitting via overspill signal from Gunung Ulu Kali without any terrains, RTM Selangor FM 100.9MHz is available internationally in part of Riau Province, Indonesia. 

 

Rokan Hilir regency (Bagansiapiapi) can receive Selangor FM 100.9MHz clearly. 


9. Limbang FM



Limbang is the northernmost division in Sarawak which locates next to Brunei. The Limbang division radio station RTM Limbang FM is available internationally in Bandar Seri Begawan, Brunei on the frequency 104.9MHz from Bukit Mas transmitting station.


10. Miri FM


Available in Brunei (Kuala Belait and Seria) via 95.7MHz from Bukit Lambir.


11. Sabah VFM

The Sabahan languages radio station is available internationally in part of Brunei via FM 102.9MHz from Bukit Tampalagus, meanwhile it can be tuned in part of North Kalimantan Province such as Sebatik Island, Nunukan Island and few areas in Tarakan, Indonesia via FM 99.3MHz from Gunung Andrassy (Tawau).


12. Tawau FM

Available in part of North Kalimantan Province (Nunukan, Sebatik and Tarakan), Indonesia via FM 100.1MHz from Gunung Andrassy, Tawau, Sabah.


13. Labuan FM


Labuan FM operates with two frequencies, mainly FM 89.4MHz from Bukit Timbalai and FM 103.7MHz from RTM Labuan. The frequency FM 103.7MHz from RTM Labuan is sending feeds from the studio to Bukit Timbalai tower. 

For Brunei, Labuan FM is available certainly via FM 89.4MHz in several locations such as Muara and coastal areas of Lambak.


14. Red FM

The Sarawak's bilingual radio station (English and Chinese) is available internationally in:


a. Brunei

- Bandar Seri Begawan via FM 104.1MHz from Bukit Mas (Limbang)

- Kuala Belait and Seria via FM 90.7MHz from Bukit Lambir (Miri)


b. West Kalimantan, Indonesia 

- Sambas via FM 91.9MHz from Gunung Serapi (Kuching)

- Entikong and Balai Karangan via FM 97.2MHz from Bukit Ampangan (Serian) 


15. Wai FM
The Sarawak indigenous radio station Wai FM is splited into two radio stations in different language, notably Wai FM Iban and Wai FM Bidayuh/Kayan.

Outside of Kuching and Serian, Wai FM is often relayed on local radio stations such as Sri Aman FM, Sibu FM, Bintulu FM, Miri FM and Limbang FM.

Internationally Wai FM is available in part of West Kalimantan, Indonesia by following locations below:
