After few months of dead air transmission, Radio Televisyen Malaysia (RTM) Bukit Kemiri radio transmission is now back on air in Semporna, Sabah, but only for Tawau FM 88.3MHz and Nasional FM 89.1MHz, meanwhile Sabah FM 91.1MHz is still off air.
Effective 30th August 2026, RTM Tawau FM 88.3MHz and Nasional FM 89.1MHz can be tuned clearly in Semporna, Sabah 24 hours a day.
RTM Sabah FM is still tuned via 89.7MHz from Gunung Silam with moderately weak signal in Semporna, Sabah because its Bukit Kemiri transmitter on the frequency FM 91.1MHz is still not on air yet.
When I had a visit in Semporna, Sabah during Hari Raya Aidilfitri on 21st March 2026, RTM Bukit Kemiri radio stations were off air (no signal).
Rest of RTM non-Malay language radio stations in Semporna, Sabah are still tuned via Gunung Silam transmitter by following stations below:
* Traxx FM 90.5MHz
* Ai FM 91.7MHz
* Sabah VFM 92.6MHz
