Back to September 2021, I had watched Senn Lens' video of tuning Kelantan FM 97.3MHz in Bayan Lepas, Penang.
Recently he received again Kelantan FM 97.3MHz in Penang, but it was in Bukit Mertajam for this time.
He used Poco X3 smartphone to tune Kelantan FM 97.3MHz in Bukit Mertajam. The signal was mostly statics, but Kelantan FM could be heard suddenly where Kelantanese Malay song was being played during the signal reception. As Poco X3 radio receiver has a good quality radio frequency interference filtration, so adjacent channel interference noise of Sinar FM 97.1MHz and Kedah FM 97.5MHz from Gunung Jerai couldn't be detected.
The listeners in Penang who tuned Kelantan FM 97.3MHz from Bukit Bakar will heard adjacent channel interference noise of Sinar FM 97.1MHz and Kedah FM 97.5MHz on most of the radio receivers, unless they tuned via high sensitivity radio receiver.
Same as Bayan Lepas, RTM Kelantan FM 97.3MHz Bukit Bakar signal tuned in Bukit Mertajam was tropospheric propagation.

ReplyDeleteBro, I'm using Poco X3 Pro and not Poco X3/X3 NFC.
ReplyDeleteAnd yes. It has the highest FM radio strength than my car radio that I'm using and I tested at highest elevation (about 28th floor of my condo). So, the signal is extremely mild.
