(FM DX) RTM Traxx FM 100.1MHz from Gunung Ulu Kali is the furthest radio station tuned in Pontian, Johor

On 29th September 2024, I had my radio DXing daytrip to Pekan Nanas and Pontian in South Johor.

In Pekan Nanas and Pontian, both towns are covered by Gunung Pulai transmitter (except Eight FM which is tuned on 88.1MHz from Gunung Ledang, while 105.3MHz is Johor FM), meanwhile Singapore and Indonesia's Batam radio stations are still receivable there.

I attempted tuning Gunung Telapak Buruk and Gunung Ulu Kali radio stations in Pontian, frankly I could receive Negeri FM 92.6MHz and Traxx FM 100.1MHz there respectively.

In Pontian, Traxx FM is tuned on 102.9MHz from Gunung Pulai, meanwhile 97.4MHz from Gunung Ledang is moderately clear too, but I had captured its signal on 100.1MHz from Gunung Ulu Kali.

Other than Traxx FM, I also tried to tune IKIM FM 91.5MHz, Raaga FM 99.3MHz and Selangor FM 100.9MHz in Pontian, but no signal on these 3 radio stations.

So, Traxx FM 100.1MHz Gunung Ulu Kali becomes the furthest radio station tuned in Pontian with 280km receiving distance. 

Adjacent channel interference of 988 FM 99.9MHz from Gunung Pulai (local transmitter) is detected when I listened to Traxx FM 100.1MHz in Pontian, Johor. After Traxx FM 100.1MHz, RTM Negeri FM 92.6MHz from  Gunung Telapak Buruk is the second furthest radio station tuned in Pontian, Johor.
