Radio stations in Tioman Island, Pahang.

 

Here are the radio stations list in Tioman Island, Pahang, Malaysia by transmitters.

 

In Tioman Island, for local transmitter, there are only two radio stations available there such as RTM Pahang FM 96.8MHz and Nasional FM 100.7MHz. Listeners may try to tune radio stations from either Bukit Pelindung or Bukit Tinggi transmitter in the island, but reception may not be clear.

8FM 100.4MHz and Fly FM 87.6MHz are not available in Tioman Island because they operate at low power transmission which cover Kuantan and surrounding areas only.

    Hello again sir, does the Tioman's radio transmitter located at the near shoreline such as Tekek or else?

    And another question is, when does the FM transmission presents at the Island?
    Before FM, does it uses AM band or else, and where does the old transmitter located?

      The FM transmission of Pulau Tioman started since Q4 2017 after a tender of RTM Phase 3 gap filler transmitter project. Before this, the tower had only RTM TV1 and TV2 analogue TV transmitter. The tower is located nearby Condotel

      If u could answer my other questions, when did the AM/MW band transmission started & ended.
      (I mean , in what year did the Tioman Island had its own gap filler transmitter @ Started to get national radio transmission.

      AM/MW band transmission started in Malaysia since 1940's (Malaya era), meanwhile it ceased gradually since 1994.
