Reason of RTM Radio Klasik 88.7MHz Bukit Gantang launched

Normally RTM radio in Taiping, Changkat Jering receive from Bukit Larut. One of RTM radio station launched another transmitter in Bukit Gantang. Actually there are some reason of Radio Klasik 88.7MHz Bukit Gantang launched.

1. In certain Taiping rural areas like Padang Rengas and Changkat Jering, FM 103.3MHz Bukit Larut is not received clearly there. Radio Klasik FM 103.3MHz Bukit Larut was interfered by Era FM 103.3MHz Gunung Ulu Kali in these areas, perhaps Era FM 103.3MHz is very strong in Perak. Radio Klasik 103.3MHz Bukit Larut is using 0.5kW.

2. Bukit Gantang is political purpose site. RTM Radio Klasik 88.7MHz Bukit Gantang was launched during Tun Abdullah Badawi era. It launched at Bukit Gantang small election.
